Here\u2019s a guide to UCAS clearing including important dates, how to apply, and clearing FAQs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>So as some of you may know Clearing 2023 is here but do you know what is this \u201cClearing\u201d and why it is conducted?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Clearing is how various universities and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses.<\/p>\n<p>The system is quite popular and is mostly used by students who miss out on a place at their chosen universities come results day.<\/p>\n<p>It is conducted to give students a second chance at getting a place at university, by matching them to universities with unfilled places.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What are the key dates and who can you use Clearing?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As we all know timing plays an important role in everything and the same is true for Clearing as well. From 6 July \u2013 20 October, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you are not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>You can use Clearing only if:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>You\u2019re applying after 30 June<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>You didn\u2019t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>You didn\u2019t meet the conditions of your offers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>You&#8217;ve paid the multiple-choice application fee of \u00a325<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>You\u2019ve declined your firm place using t<\/strong>he \u2018decline my place\u2019 button in Track<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What is Clearing Plus and how it is different from Clearing?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Clearing Plus is something new for 2020. This new tool is designed to help students find their perfect course and will be available alongside Clearing.<\/p>\n<p>In Clearing Plus, UCAS will personally match you to courses you may be interested in, using what they know about you from your application, and what universities and colleges are looking for in a student.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Clearing Plus isn\u2019t available for everyone. If you\u2019re unsuccessful with your application or are applying for the first time for a place in Clearing, you\u2019ll be able to \u2018view your matches\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Every year UCAS provides this excellent opportunity of Clearing to re-think if you are unsure about a course, or wondering if you will be best using your skillset. Lots of universities have easy-to-view course information online and can also view your application and officially accept you.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019re confirmed for a university, your next step is to look for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universityliving.com\/\"><strong>student accommodation<\/strong><\/a> in the city. You should start by researching about the town or city you\u2019ll be living in, and why not check out our student accommodation search function to make your work simpler?
