Moving to university can be stressful to say the very least, you\u2019ll soon find untold lists online of must-have items, tips, tricks &amp; recommendations of what you *must* take with you to University. Many websites, forums and blogs suggest hundreds of essentials and these can become never-ending not to mention a little daunting, to say the least.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of our top \u2018lifesaver\u2019 items, voted by students themselves which were deemed a real essential in Freshers week.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bedding\"><\/span><strong>Bedding<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll find that most universities don\u2019t provide anything more than the Bed itself and a Mattress &#8211; and if you\u2019re lucky, a Mattress Protector. Don\u2019t forget you\u2019ll need at least two sets of Bed Linen as it\u2019s unlikely you\u2019ll be able to wash and dry everything in the space of a day (especially when the English weather is a little unpredictable at times!)<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Door_Stop\"><\/span><strong>Door Stop<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Many Uni\u2019s and PBSAs don\u2019t allow the use of Doorstops on Fire Doors in general, but during move-in, it\u2019s an unwritten rule that if your door is propped open with a doorstop you\u2019re open to making new friends in your Halls, it\u2019s such a great way to meet likeminded friends in freshers week.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Home_comforts\"><\/span><strong>Home comforts<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Moving to University is an exciting, stressful and overwhelming experience to say the least. By taking some home comforts, your favourite blanket, pictures of family &amp; friends you\u2019re sure to feel at home much faster, especially if you\u2019re travelling from another country.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Storage\"><\/span><strong>Storage<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One thing is for sure, and it\u2019s that you really can\u2019t ever have too much storage. Student bedrooms are often compact and tricky to keep tidy without enough storage, there are a whole host of fun and practical options available to keep your desk, drawers (and mind) tidy.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Folding_clothes_horse\"><\/span><strong>Folding clothes horse<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Even if you\u2019re lucky and live near a laundrette, dryers are crazy expensive and they\u2019re not always the best solution for drying your clothes long term.
