Discover Los Angeles
Beverly Hills. Check. Griffith Observatory. Check. Universal Studios Hollywood. Check. A trip to LA is incomplete without having taken a picture-perfect shot at each of the following places on your checklist. Home to countless movie stars and celebrities, the city of Los Angeles has a lot more going on behind-the-scenes. The coastal enclaves of Long Beach and Santa Monica, the hustle and bustle of Downtown and Arts District, and the popular neighborhoods of Silver Lake and Echo Park attract tourists from all over the world.

What sets LA apart?
Posing with a sidewalk star along the Hollywood Walk of Fame seems like the most LA-thing to do, but this wasn’t always the case. Before the dreams of making it big in Hollywood brought in the likes of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, the Gold Rush had hordes of prospectors, land speculators, oil barons, and manual labourers flocking to Los Angeles. The sprawling city that we have now come to know as LA was once named as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula by its Spanish settlers.

Life as a student in Los Angeles
Students can choose from a range of living spaces – independent or shared – depending on the type of university experience they are looking to have. The city offers student housing options such as student flats, student studios, student apartments, and shared or en-suite rooms. During their stay, students must visit LA County Museum of Art, the Getty, and Petersen Automotive Museum to see their fine art exhibitions and impressive architecture.
