Ideally located close to the main student areas of Plymouth, Mutley Plain and North Hill, Alexandra Works is great for students who want to focus on their studies as well as get to know people from other parts of the world. Being quite close to Plymouth University, Plymouth College of Art, and Plymouth City College, travelling to and fro is a piece of cake for the students who study there.
The area is also well-connected with transport links to the campus of the Peninsular School of Medicine which is why some students who attend classes there, also reside at Alexandra Works. Since the city centre is at less than a 15-minutes’ walk away from the campus, when studies become a bit monotonous, you can always venture out and meet new people. Hang out with your friends, experiment with the various cuisines in and around the city, and just make a lot of memories out there.
The students have the option of choosing from en-suite rooms and bunking with others or studio rooms and staying alone. All the rooms are equipped with a bed, ample storage for your belongings, and a study desk and chair. While en-suite rooms have a communal kitchen area, the studio rooms have a private kitchen where you can cook and bake anything you feel like eating. Connect with your family through Skype using the high-speed Wi-Fi and tell them all about your day or even better, show them around and feel that they’re right there with you.
This is a great place for people who love to travel and explore the city, find out more about the history and heritage of Plymouth because you can always visit the historic museums and landmarks. And once you’ve gotten an idea about the city’s past, you can witness the marine wildlife on your visit to the National Marine Aquarium. When you have travelled far and wide, come back to the comforts of your own room and relax after the adventurous day.
