Best Residential Areas for Students to Live in Glasgow

#1 Anniesland

If you follow the Great Western Road a couple of miles to the west, you will reach Anniesland. It is a great area for students who hardly have to take a 15-minute bus to the study campus of University of Glasgow. Accommodation prices are also not that expensive and yes grocery stores like Aldi and Morrisons will become your best friends for slicing your monthly bill in half. 

#2 City Centre

Glasgow City Centre is an obvious choice for both Strathclyde and Caledonian students, as they will be just a short walk away from their lecture halls, library and sports facilities. Transport links are incredible here with access to both Central Station and Queen Street Station. There are also two underground stops and multiple bus routes stretching across Glasgow and beyond. Housing rent can be very high in Glasgow City Centre, but you can find cheaper alternatives in areas like Glasgow Green and the Barrowlands and perhaps even Garnethill near the Glasgow School of Art.

#3 Dennistoun

Just to the East End of Glasgow is where you will find Dennistoun. Transport links over here are great, as commuters are served by train stations on Alexandra Parade, Duke Street and Bellgrove. The bus routes to the universities  are fairly speedy too. Dennistoun also offers homely student accommodations that are quite befitting to the average student budget. This place also has a decent bunch of cafes and bars that are great hangout zones for students.
