When you live in a happy city like Adelaide, festivals are a part and parcel of your life. The people here believe in celebrating little things and keep the fun spirit alive.

Here are our favorite picks of Festivals in Adelaide:

1. Adelaide Fringe: Adelaide Fringe is Australia’s largest open-access arts festival and is internationally renowned as one of the most happening one in the country. The festival happens over a whole month between February and March. They say it is the best time to visit the city. The festival has thousands of artists from all over the world describing their art, innovative thinking and free-flowing ideas. It’s a four-week long party where anyone can do anything they feel like. This year, the event is from Feb 18, 2018 to March 16, 2018.Book your tickets already?

2. WOMADelaide: WOMADelaide, the iconic open-air festival set in Adelaide’s stunning Botanic Park, is an award-winning celebration of the very best of the World of Music, Arts & Dance. The festival features contemporary musicians, dancers and DJs, street theatre and visual artists, all set around 100 amazing food, retail, and charity stalls. This year, it’s happening from March 8 to March 12, 2018.

3. Adelaide Film Festival: A 11-day festival in Adelaide, this film festival celebrates the moving visuals in a pompous way. Over 11 days, ADL Film Fest fills the city and surrounds with feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation and new media works. The event started biennially in 2013 and has since then become a reputed film festival all over the globe. The event generally happens in October.

4. Adelaide 500: The Adelaide 500 is Australia’s largest ticketed domestic Motorsport event and has been the icon of the Events and Tourism calendar in Adelaide for the past 19 years. They have certain on and off-track events like Stadium Super Trucks, and race concert series, featuring British rock icon, Robbie Williams.

5. Feast Festival: Feast Festival celebrates pride and diversity with a dynamic program highlighting LGBTIQ arts and culture. It is held in late October/November each year. The festival includes cabaret, comedy, theatre, music, literature, visual arts, sports and much more. It is more like an international event, inviting performers from all over the world.
