Vienna, Austria’s capital city, is nicknamed the “City of Music” and has been constantly voted as the most livable city in the world. The city has a 1.8 million population, out of which 190,000 students are studying in universities. Vienna ranks 12th in QS Best Student Cities Ranking (2024) with the highest indicator of desirability. It is home to two of Austria’s top-ranking universities: the University of Vienna (130th) and the Vienna University of Technology (184th). How to get around Vienna?

Vienna offers cheap, efficient, fast, and best public transportation. There are U-Bahn (subway), Straßenbahn (tram), and S-Bahn (local train). If you purchase a Vienna Travel Pass, you can use it in all public transportation networks.
