FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have 24/7 support available.

What are the different types of accommodation?

University Living offers private accommodation close to universities with fewer restrictions and more options. Take your pick from shared and private rooms, studios, and apartments. We also offer short-term stays for students in summer school and exchange programs.

What are the different types of rooms?

The major room types are: Sharing: This is where 2 or more students share a single room, washroom, kitchen, and other communal spaces. Ensuite/Private: This includes a private bedroom and bathroom, while the kitchen and living areas are shared. Studios: This is a self-contained unit with a bedroom and cooking space along with a private washroom. Two students may book a single studio together, subject to the policies of the accommodation provider.

How do I know my accommodation is safe?

All properties listed by University Living are personally verified by the team or their representatives. Each accommodation has foolproof safety measures in place, including CCTV, secure door entries, restricted access, and more.

Does my accommodation offer meals?

Most accommodations are self-catered, but you can always ask the reception to connect you with local food delivery vendors!

Will I get cleaning and laundry services?

Most properties have on-site, coin-operated washing machines that make laundry a breeze. Students are expected to keep their rooms clean while common areas are looked after by maintenance staff at regular intervals. If you’re unwilling to get your hands dirty, contact the reception for professional cleaning services at an extra fee.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, all our accommodation have strong internet connectivity.

Does my accommodation offer parking facilities?

Most properties have bike storage available. Please contact your Servicing Manager to request car parking facility.

What items should I bring while moving in?

Students are expected to bring their own bedding, kitchen utensils, cutlery, and bathroom essentials. If that’s too much, our good friends at UniKitOut will deliver all these and more to your UK accommodation even before you move in!

What if I don’t like my accommodation after moving in?

We try our best to find accommodation that meets all your needs. If you still don’t like your accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances, we will try to replace your room within 30 days for a one-time fee of £250.

Where do I report any issues with my accommodation?

Please contact the on-site maintenance office or reception to report any issues.

Do I have to vacate my room during holidays?

Never. Your room belongs to you for the entirety of your tenancy period!
