Most students who decide to study in any part of the world are aware of what’s to come their way! So, they are well-prepared for the challenges, and excitements and how to have the best experience as a student.

It’s a good thing you made this quite a big deal as it will equip you with how to overcome many challenges as a student. Many students who go to study outside their home country feel homesick mostly, but if you know the ways to overcome any issues, be it finance, social, culture, or finding a London student accommodation and others that entail a student life.

What do international students struggle with the most?

The most challenging journey for most students who go to study abroad is dealing with a new culture and language.

How can I increase my chances of studying abroad?

With so many universities in the UK, you may think to take it easy! But, you should know that it is one of the most sought-after study places in the world. If you plan to study in the UK, there are many students who apply to study here from all over the world. There are students who are already ahead of you! So, do not wait to start your research and fill in those applications!

What piece of advice is most valuable for a new international student?

These are special tips that every international student should know before heading on that trip:

Book a student accommodation before you study

Whether it’s student accommodation in Coventry or anywhere else in the UK, you know there’s someone moving quicker and trying to fill in those amazing places with good sweet deals. So, this may not look like a priority for you, but it is one of the most important pieces of advice for any international student.

Plan you budget

You may come from any country, but the cost of staying in places like the United Kingdom is quite high. Find out if you can manage and cover the monthly living expenses and cost of your studies too. If you have to calculate the living expenses, you should not include your tuition fees there. The study fees take a huge chunk of your financial expenditure, so be aware of your financial situation above everything else!

Work on the language

The top countries that host some of the best institutions in the world are English-speaking countries. When you seek to study in any of these countries, it’s of vital importance that you get yourself acquainted with the language. The universities will ask you for your English language score to see how well you can comprehend the language.

Get to know the culture

What better way to know the country than by delving into its culture? You can visit local pubs and restaurants, and get acquainted with what food and drinks! It’s one of the ways they link it to the culture. Then try joining groups, network and make friends with local and international students too!

Backup all important documents

While you are in a rush to head to any country, you might leave some important papers behind. But, it can save you if you have all the documents backed up in your email or any digital devices. Even when you reach your destination and are ready to shift into an accommodation in Southampton, Leeds, London, or anywhere else, you will need to produce some documents. You wouldn’t want to land in trouble without a home right? So back up and stay safe!

Enquire if you need health insurance

When it comes to health insurance, western countries are very strict on it and make it a priority for residents, tourists and students to be fully covered. Most of the universities will make this a requirement, so enquire about it! You may never know, you need to produce it even in student accommodation in Manchester or other cities.
