Student Housing Thornhill

The City of Markham and the City of Vaughan share Thornhill, a suburban district in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. Yonge Street serves as the area's municipal border. The Earl of Queensberry gave the village the name "New Dalgarnock" when it was first established as a small settlement in 1717 on the Queensberry Estate.

Thornhill College earned the designation of Specialist School in Mathematics and Physics in 2009. The Sisters of Mercy arrived in Derry in 1848, and soon after that, the foundation of the Thornhill College was laid. In Pump Street, The Sisters established an only girls’ private school. The Convent of Our Lady of Mercy School was founded on Artillery Street, Derry, in 1887.
