Originally the Huddersfield Scientific and Mechanic Institute, the University of Huddersfield can trace back its root to 1825. It is a founding member of the Northern Consortium and also a part of the Yorkshire Universities. It has been a university since 1992 with a single campus located just outside the city in the north of England. The main campus of the university is located at Queensgate, South-East of Huddersfield town centre. Huddersfield is an ancient market town in West Yorkshire just 16.6 km south of Bradford, the closest city. Q. Do I have to vacate my room during holidays?
