The early origins of the London College of Fashion exist in three trade schools, all of which were for women: the Shoreditch Technical Institute Girls School which was founded in 1906; the Barrett Street Trade School which was founded in 1915; and the Clapham Trade School which was founded in 1927. With big names from the fashion industry like Jimmy Choo, William Tempest, amongst others being a part of their alumni, it is no wonder those aspiring to make it big choose to study here.
The city of London is home to a mix of student population of around 400,000 and since there are many top-ranking universities. Courses Offered in London College of Fashion
LCF is a member college of the University of the Arts London, inviting students from all over the world. The college offers a range of short-term and long-term courses – from business to photography to design. Also, London College of Fashion offers students three Integrated Masters degree courses that are an innovative and flexible way to achieve your postgraduate goal. The main campus is located just north of Oxford Circus, on John Prince’s Street whereas other campuses are located at 40 Lime Grove in Shepherd's Bush as well as in East London at 100 Curtain Road (Old Street).

The fashion scene in London has a fascinating history behind it, inspired by the style of the upper class and English royalty along with a mix of street style. During the 19th century, Victorian fashion was modernised for both sexes, earning a reputation for being high-end. It wasn’t till the 20th century that the British fashion industry began to experiment with their style, taking on a more modern approach.
Transportation in and around London
London city has an extensive public transport network which includes private as well as public services – buses, river and road systems spanning all of the city's 32 boroughs. For someone who is new to the city, a tour on the double decker buses is a delight. The city is also well-connected via the Tube, which is the Underground rail network and is one of the best ways to explore London. For a picturesque view of the city – Greenwich and East London, take a ride in the cable car.
